SURAH AT TIN
(The Fig)
بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ
(1) Wat teeni waz zaitoon
By the fig, and the olive
وَطُورِ سِينِينَ
(2) Wa toori sineen
By Mount Sinai
وَهَذَا الْبَلَدِ الْأَمِينِ
(3) Wa haazal balad-il ameen
And by this city of security (Makkah)
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ
(4) Laqad khalaqnal insaana fee ahsani taqweem
Verily, We created man of the best stature (mould)
ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ
(5) Thumma ra dad naahu asfala saafileen
Then We reduced him to the lowest of the low
إِلَّا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ
(6) Ill-lal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati; falahum ajrun ghairu mamnoon
Save those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous deeds, then they shall have a reward without end (Paradise)
فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّينِ
(7) Fama yu kaz zibuka b'adu bid deen
Then what (or who) causes you (O disbelievers) to deny the Recompense (i.e. Day of Resurrection)
أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ
(8) Alai sal laahu bi-ahkamil haakimeen
Is not Allah the Best of judges
