SURAH AL LAHAB
بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
(1) Tab bat yadaa abee Lahabinw-wa tabb
Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ
(2) Maa aghna 'anhu maaluhu wa ma kasab
No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ
(3) Sa yas laa naran zaata lahab
Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ
(4) Wam ra-atuhu hamma latal-hatab
His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel
فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ
(5) Fee jeediha hab lum mim-masad
A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck
